[Freebie] Moustache Victim

Safe to say I’m always around. I’m a slow person with a slow computer and 140k so blogging was not the best hobby I could have picked… x: I’ve been trying to tidy up my pose folder because I figure if they are semi-organised all my how-to-pose-good problems will go away and that will cut an hour off blogging but I have no idea how to organise them. x:

I’m not a hipster, I just liked the dress. ): I’ve had this thing for creams and tans lately so it was appealing. :3 The moustache (or mustache, in American) is not a craze which grabs me so I just picked up my favourites from the Moustache You A Question hunt blog. x: I even found a new store in Lillies and Ravens. :3 If you do like moustaches however, you only have two days to complete this one. x:

The skin and shoes are from the Punk Your World Hunt and cost 1L each. I wasn’t going to pick you up, skin, on the premise that “I have too many skins” but I am pleased I went back for you, you can stay in the well organised skin folder. :3

I have a couple of small bones to pick on a couple of things though. x:
The shoes. I don’t really wear shoes so it’s possible I’ve missed something but I couldn’t get the HUD to work. x: The lace and skin should be tintable via HUD but no matter what I tried it didn’t seem to work for me. I am considering this could be because Kaz had a conspiracy theory about feminists and furries and turned off scripts on our parcel but I couldn’t get it to work on other sims either. x:
The dress. It has a small cube on the hand. I presume it’s either a rigging thing or a branding thing and that it is hidden on the creator’s avatar. x:
“You should probably alert the creators.”
I should but I’m shy. x: I shall continue to consider this suggestion however…

[Freebie] Tricketts Go East

Today is my birthday. :D Or perhaps, more accurately by the time of posting, yesterday was my birthday. x: I spent most of the day asleep. It’s O.K., I waste my birthdays every year. Last year I played Aika. x:

I’ve recently picked up a few freebies from Japanese creators across the grid. I thought I would squash them all into one post. :3 As usual, there’s not a lot of time to pick them up. There would have been an extra couple of days but Second Life is fussy and Tricketts are sleepy. x:

This is a group gift from the store Rui. Rui is new to me and I’m going to be sticking in the group for a while and watching this one, I think. The store is rather eclectic offering a small range of items from household goods and furntiure to shoes and clothing.

This is the gift in the Ambrosia lucky board. The board is group only. Ambrosia is largely a dolly/lolita dress store. It’s nice to see them branching out because I think the prims on this shirt are very well done. :3
The boots are from the Rui lucky baord. I am pretty sure this board will be switched soonish.

This is the gift at the ongoing hunt at MiuMin. It’s a group only hunt and the group fee is 10L but you can also pick up all of MiuMin’s past group gifts, which mostly consists of tradtional kimono dresses. MiuMin is a largely a traditional Japanese store with some modern girly clothing. I think the store is still relatively new and the creator is still learning but improving. :3
I often have trouble getting these sorts of dresses to fit right and not to look too bulky but for my avatar, thsi dress worked really well. :3 The collar and the waistband fit great and the skirt is very flowy. There’s also a cherry blossom posing prop, not pictured.

NekoKan, usually another dolly-Lolita dress store, is also holding a hunt in a similar style. Group only, group is 10L to join but all the past group gifts are available for you to pick up.
I also managed to win the outfit from the lucky board. It comes compelte with the top, shorts, belt and armband.
All the gifts this week were really well done but I think, this is my favourite. :3 If you miss this hunt or don’t feel like joining the group, everything is up for sale. :3

And lastly all the photos this week were taken in a little photo box from the furniture store, Cafe*Amie. The box includes 11 background textures and 4 poses, the position of which is adjustable. You can also pick up several other past gifts. :3

Next week, I think I will go back to my black backgrounds in an effort to be consistent (sorry, I changed the layout theme again ): ) but I do like these types of boxes a lot. x:
